FIG at Intergeo 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany
		6-10 October 2025, Frankfurt, Germany
With more than 600 stands and 18,500 visitors Intergeo is the place
to be and meet. As in previous years FIG had a stand together with
German assoications and organisations as well as CLGE. FIG was
represented by Vice President Michalis Kalogiannakis, Chair of FIG
Commission 1 Tim Burch and FIG Director Louise Friis-Hansen. Several
Commission Chairs  were attending, too, hereunder Chair of FIG
Commission 9 Peter Ache, Commission 6 Werner Lienhart, former chair of
commission 3 Hartmut Müller as well as other FIG representatives
including Chair of Task Force on Diversion and Inclusion Stephen Djaba
and Tomasz Malinowski who were both actively promoting the FIG Congress
2026. Thank you very much for your help!

Special meetings were arranged with some of FIG Corporate members,
hereunder Trimble, Leica, Bentley, CHC Navigation, SuperMap, Topcon,
Geomares (GIM Magazine), and Mena 3D.

The FIG stand was busy and well visited with a mixture of
representatives of members of FIG which were nice to meet and have a
good talk with; potential members of FIG; potential corporate sponsors
for the FIG Congress 2026; and others who had an interest in hearing
about who FIG is and what FIG is working on as well as why this
international cooperation is important and matters.

The presence of FIG at Intergeo is two-fold and serves both to inform
in general about FIG and specifically about the FIG Congress 2026 -
encouraging participation and submission of abstracts as well as the
opportunities for potential sponsors and exhibitors
At the Welcome Reception Presiddent of the German association DVW and
FIG Honorary President Rudolf Staiger welcomed all to Intergeo and to
Frankfurt. Intergeo is an amazing mixture of technology, innovation and
collaboration in a vibrant atmosphere. The main themes of INTERGEO 2025
were Geo-AI, data sovereignty, and reality capturing, which explored how
geoinformation and technology are creating smarter, more sustainable
solutions. Other key topics included Earth observation, digital twins,
BIM, and smart cities. This years Intergeo showed how the geoinformation
industry is actively shaping a digital future by moving from knowledge
		transfer to practical application.

A very big thanks to Michalis Kalogiannakis and Tim Burch for their help
at the booth and around, and for three very productive and busy days.
Intergeo 2026 will take place in Munich, Germany - hope to see you
		there!
