Dear Colleague,

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, with significant implications for land use, property values, and tenure security, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized communities. A Call to Action was created during the FIG Regional Conference in Nepal, providing insights and tools to enhance the role of surveyors, property valuers, and land practitioners in addressing climate change and disaster resilience. Although focused on Asia, the Call to Action offers practical insights for global use, emphasizing the critical role of land professionals in safeguarding land rights, promoting sustainable land governance, and addressing climate impacts. The Call to Action is a valuable resource for governments and decision-makers showcasing how land practitioners and related professions can contribute effectively. We encourage members and others to share the Call to Action nationally.
This newsletter includes several important deadlines, too, for submission of paper for the Working Week 2025, nomination of candidates for the Commissions and the call for bid for FIG Working Week 2029.
