VISA REQUIREMENTS

Most visitors to Ghana must obtain a visa from one of the Ghanaian diplomatic missions to enter the country. It is the participant’s responsibility to investigate the visa requirements for Ghana and apply for a visa, if necessary.
Delegates are advised to apply for their visa, if required, as soon as possible, to ensure adequate processing time.

It is recommended that you apply for a TOURIST VISA for your visit to Ghana. Additionally, please ensure to attach the following documents to your visa application. These documents are necessary to facilitate the visa processing in coordination with the local organizing committee and the Foreign Affairs Office, ensuring a smooth visa application process:

• Visa Support letter - issued by FIG
• Letter from Ghana Institute of Surveyors - issued by FIG
• Letter from Licensed Suvreyors Association of Ghana - issued by FIG

These documents will aid in communication with the respective embassies and consulates to expedite your visa application and ensure your seamless participation in the FIG Working Week.

Here are the steps you should take to apply for a tourist visa for Ghana:

Review Visa Requirements: Please carefully review the visa requirements for Ghana outlined by the Ghanaian embassy or consulate or the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).

Complete Visa Application Form: Obtain and complete the tourist visa application form for Ghana. From the website of the diplomatic mission, you will find a link to fill in the online visa form. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and matches the details in your passport.

Gather Required Documents: Along with the completed application form, you will typically need to submit supporting documents, such as:

	Passport The applicant's actual passport. The passport must: Have at least two blank visa pages Be valid for six months beyond exit date
	Photograph You must provide a photograph. The photo should have taken not more than three months prior to the date of submission.
	Proof of Travel Arrangements This must be provided as a copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel.

	Yellow Fever Certificate A copy an international certificate of vaccination for Yellow Fever. All travellers are required to present a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate at the port of entry in Ghana. It is recommended to receive the vaccination at least 10 days before arrival.
	Copy of Passport Identification Page A clear colour photocopy of the information page(s) from the applicant's passport

	Proof of Payment of Visa Fees Please note that all payments will only be made upon completion of the visa application process.

Submit Application: Once you have gathered all the required documents, submit your visa application to the appropriate Ghanaian Embassy or Consulate. Be sure to adhere to the visa processing timelines and requirements specified by the embassy.

Attend Visa Interview (if required): Depending on your nationality and the embassy's regulations, you may be required to attend a visa interview. Prepare for the interview by familiarizing yourself with your travel plans and the purpose of your visit to Ghana.

Collect Visa: Upon approval, collect your visa. Ensure that all details on the visa are accurate, including the validity dates and number of entries allowed.

For those who require a visa, please note that the Organizing Committee has no control over the visa application process, or the decision of the visa adjudicator in the embassy or consulate. The conference cannot be responsible for actual visa issuances. The process length varies from individuals, you are strongly advised to start your application as soon as you can.

Should your application be denied,  we  cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will we engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant.
